		<description>I know I adopted lots more tech in 08... more on the app side though. 2008 was full up web apps and content accessibility.  I&#039;ve never had so many ways to put out content (or access that of others) so easily.  I can honestly say that all the APIs out there have completely simplified my web experience &amp; allowed my workflow to improve dramatically (i.e. I spend less time avoiding work and looking for new content). 

I&#039;m thinking this year will be a crucible for much of the &quot;new tech&quot; that the last few years have spit out.  Start-ups will flounder, but content providers (the good ones, at least) have a chance to flourish.  During times like these businesses are smart to focus on core competencies &amp; build up their audience.  content creators need to do the same.  We have ways of getting the content out there, now we have to make sure what we put out is good.

Lastly, the ubiquity of the new  content access channels &amp; means of communication have reached a tipping point and begun to influence the way the next generation is communicating with people.  As corny as it sounds, we are watching human evolution (with respect to the way we relate to each other).  This year should be a year where we seriously begin to study the emerging patterns now that we have all these ways of getting messages out to each other... idk, just a thought ;-)</description>
